Breathe Project

A thought-provoking and innovative experience for students.

"Breathe" is an exciting initiative which was delivered to staff during our staff meeting on the 12th September and will be introduced to groups of students on the 13th and 14th September.

Breathe is a resource for exploring themes of belief, journey and values. It is a way to engage young people in thinking deeply about themselves, their relationships with others and the world. It is a creative and interactive way to engage with life’s big questions.

It consists of a 10m floor mat (circular) divided into 12 segments. Each section contains a reflection and an activity about an aspect of life; there will be a maximum of three staff/students on each station. Each station takes about 5 minutes to complete. Participants can listen to the reflections on an iPod and move around the segments for up to an hour. It uses colour, light, music and video to expand knowledge and self-awareness.
