Castle Rock 2 - 1 South Charnwood

Mr Saye's team bag a victory at South Charnwood.

The little man grabs the winner!

Castle Rock bounced back from 1-0 defeat to Ashby Ivanhoe with a 2-1 victory over South Charnwood. The match started really evenly, both sides having an organised back line resulting in a tight start to the match. The first half finished all square at 0-0.

The second half began and Castle Rock dominated. They took the lead 10 minutes into the half with a well placed finish from Alfie Mansfield into the bottom left corner from a Jack Powell cross. Castle Rock held on to this lead defiantly for 5 minutes until the South Charnwood striker placed a decent finish into the back of the net.

The game could have gone either way and suddenly out of nowhere the little man with a lion heart, Eden Harrison, burst into the South Charnwood penalty area and smashed the ball into the top left hand corner of the net! Castle Rock held on till the end to secure a well deserved victory. Mr Saye named Joe Smedley as man of the match.
