A website has recently been created and launched for the Harley Trust, to hopefully raise awareness of the work of the charity.
Thomas Harley's Charities provide grants to:
- Children at school
- Individuals on apprentice schemes or other courses
- Individuals attending further and higher education establishments
- Dependants of deceased clergy
Thomas Harley grants to schools have varied from £150 up to £6500 in the past, providing facilities and services such as outdoor play equipment, staging for a school hall, Duke of Edinburgh award scheme equipment and swimming lessons.
The Education Branch of the Harley Trust considers requests for grants from young persons under the age of 25, whose parents live in Leicestershire (with a preference for those who live in Osgathorpe, Belton and the old Urban District of Coalville).
Grant application forms can be downloaded direct from the website - www.theharleytrust.org
