Castle Rock students take part in the Rotary Young Chef Competition
Each year students from Castle Rock are invited to take part in the local Rotary Young Chef Competition. Four students from Castle Rock High School, Newbridge High School and King Edward IIV all compete to plan and cook a two-course meal (main course and dessert) suitable for two people. The cost of the ingredients is not to exceed £5.00 per head.
The cooking time is limited to one and a half hours, the timing is vital and the judges observe the students whilst they prepare and cook their meals. Well done to all of our entrants, Jazmin W, Bethany H, Megan M and Bradley C.
The students were very calm and organised before the competition started and looked very relieved when the cooking was completed. They all said that they enjoyed taking part and look forward to entering again next year.
Huge congratulations to Jazmin, who came in third place.
