Bad Weather Procedures

Information for Winter 2016-17.

As the potential for snow and extreme weather increases, we would like to remind parents and carers of our procedures during adverse weather conditions.

Before school - we will endeavour to make a decision on school closure as early as possible. Parents and carers will be notified of school closure status via the following channels;

To ensure that you receive text message and email notifications, please inform the school office of any changes to your contact details at the earliest opportunity.

During school - In the event that the school opens in the morning but is forced to close early, we will again send text and email messages to all parents for who we have up-to-date contact information and post a prominent notice on the home page of the school website.

Notice - our premises team will clear and treat the main pathways into the school - see the attached Gritting Routes map for information on which areas are prioritised. We recommend that these routes are adhered to as other walkways may not be treated.
